We are very pleased to inform the result of voting ,
to announce the RoboCup 2002 Rules and related matters.

(1) result of voting:
We have 5 votings (3 teams and 2 simulator developers).
The followings are the result of voting. The point in the [] is
(sum of 3 teams)*2 + (sum of 2 simulator developers).
        ---------------------------------------------------------------
        (a) Kernel:
Kernel (later then 0_34) implemented proposals by Takeuchi.
[24] use Kernel (before than 0_33, used at RoboCup 2001).
[11] use Kernel (the newest one which is later than 0_34)
                 with default config.txt.
[12] use Kernel (the newest one which is later than 0_34),
however, parameters in config.txt will be specified as rules.

        (b) Traffic simulator:
[16] use traffic simulator (used at RoboCup 2001).
[ 8] use traffic simulator proposed by Morimoto.

        (c) Civilian agent: Civilian agent
            [12] Koto's sample civilian.
            [21] Nakanishi's civilian (used at RoboCup 2001).
[11] Shinoda and Noda's civilian with the same behavior
                 as Koto's agent.
[11] Shinoda and Noda's civilian with behavior rule sets.

        (d) Map:
[24] Kobe (Nagata) Map (used at RoboCup 2001) only.
[15] Virtual City Map proposed by Hatayama,
                                              H. Takahashi and Matsuno.
[ 9] Both of Kobe Map and Virtual City Map
        ---------------------------------------------------------------
The better proposal gains the less point.
There is no question to use
         (b) traffic simulator proposed by Morimoto,
         (d) both of Kobe Map and Virtual City Map.
As far as Kernel and Civilians are concerned, there is room
to discuss. The committee's tentative decisions are described
in the first draft of RoboCup 2002 Rules[cf. (2)].
