Dear Miguel,

you are right, probably everyone in our community would say that we should not use UDP anymore.
During RoboCup 2004 most people agreed that we have to start with the development of a TCP/IP based kernel.
However, all that we have yet is good will and mutual agreement (which is of course valuable!).
Up to now it's unclear how and who finally writes the code.

Since the kernel is quite an important piece of software in our league, my opinion is that two or three teams should share its development in a in an OpenSource fashion.
In our team there is probably one volunteer for this job, however, it is unlear yet when he will have time.
So the bad news is, that there are no dedicated simulator programmers yet, but the good news is that everyone has the opportunity to take part on it!

Cheers,

Alex
