Kernel: kernel-0_34-unix
Agents: NITRescue-R
When all the enviroments is up and an only Civilian is added
(because of computing complexity - I have found out my
Celeron 333, 196MB RAM to be too slow) and the simulation
starts (kernel is reporting actual simulation time), the Civilian
looks for a refuge. When the agent see the refuge, is trying to
get there. But the agent is unable to reach it. In stead of it
moves in a cycle among two nodes. Have you ever see such an
agent behavior? I think, that it can has two possible reasons:
1) The agent see the refuge, but doesn't see the entrance and
the path-finding algorithm is unable to find a way to the
desired node. The refuge is on the map, but the entrance is
not connected to any road node/edge. I tracked the visual
informations from kernel: the refuge is visible, but there is no
information about entrance (property 21 - entrance - is
missing in informations from kernel). Is it a map bug? How
could I track it? It's a refuge with ID 1957.
The agents moves among IDs 1240 and 1902.
2) The path-finding algorithm has a bug and that is why agent
cannot move to other place, where from would be the
entrance visible. Or the algorithm expect automaticly an
information from the kernel about the entrance node when
an information about the refuge is present in a visible area.
I guess, that the first possibility is more probable.
Have you ever heard about such a problem? If not, I have
to track the map some way (but I hardly don't know how)
and to check path-finging algorithm. But I treat as an unavailing
effort, when somebody could already solve it.
I downloaded a tool for map checking and OBJ file generation,
but I don't know how to use it (I'm starting in Java).
I also downloaded other newer maps. But the simulation failed
on segmentation fault (in GIS or kernel - I'm not sure).
Thank you for replies and given time.
Yours Sincerely
