[robocup-rescue-s] The end of complaints

Hi,

I would like to comment on the ongoing exchange of "complaints", sure, I
know they are not all complaints:) First of all I really stand behind
the TC since, even if I want to, I cannot see anything wrong they did.
To make it clear to everyone:

Unfortunately there is no big organization with a lot of money behind
RoboCup Rescue Simulation but especially our league requires a lot of
coding due to its "nature". Arash and Cameron are since years! the only
guys that do direct coding for the league. This is very "unselfish",
since they are getting nothing for their efforts, i.e. they got no money
nor publication. How many people do you know acting like this:) I have
seen "helpers" on conferences that got much more applause for doing
minor things. Okay, Arash and Cameron coded most of the changes we had
so far, in their spare time. This is outstanding and really has to be
recognized.

I would be very happy to see this year in Bremen that people from the
teams come to us and offer their volunteer work for the next year in
order to support the idea of RoboCup Rescue. If we have more developers
on the code base, it will be much easier to apply changes and also to be
sure that everyone knows about them. Nevertheless, our vision is to see
RoboCup Rescue to be more than just a competition, we want it once to be
open to a wider community, e.g. open for professionals, such as fire
departments world wide.

Cheers,
Alex
