Dear Friends,

My Experiences in last three Rescue Simulation
Competitions showed me, by changing the simulation
environment such fast, we may not gain any important
scientific results. By considering the codes of high
ranked teams in last three years, it is clear that
many teams are used very simple methods for overcoming
the new changes of the environment. The teams want to
have a good rank. Therefore, we can not expect them to
use valuable scientific methods when they can achieve
high ranks by using very simple hand-coded methods!

I think we should learn from the soccer 2D simulation
league, they have a few changes in environment in
recent years and each year we see new strong teams
with new valuable ideas. The progress of this league
in recent years are incredibly fast and we should pay
attention to their experiences.

Finally, I suggest the OC and TC members to use the
same environment as 2005 Competitions (without the
features of the RoboCup2005 voting, which are not
implemented yet) with just fixing the bugs and
important problems. This will force the teams to use
more scientific and valuable methods for
implementation of their agents, if they want to have a
good rank.

Best Regards,
