Hi,

I agree with you both.
----------------------------------------
Of course "making simulators more secure" must be
discussed more to find other ways of achieving this goal.
But, about rounding values and ... it can be seen in two
different ways:

1. rounding values to make it less precise (like fireyness)
2. applying noise to perception of agents

I think the latter is more realistic. (+ hiding some attributes
of object from agents)
----------------------------------------
Documenting the way simulators work is another job that
must be done by someone (a TC member, simulator
writers, a volunteer, ...)
----------------------------------------
Making things harder without a strong base won't help us
to reach Rescue Simulation goals. In my opinion, the scoring
mechanism for competition should change to encourage
more scientific approaches. Teams can be judged by the value
they have added to this field in addition to their competition results.
This can be done by forcing teams to present their work concerning
these things:
-What do they done to make their team better than other teams?
-What do they done which might be of help for future of this field?
-Does result of their work make world a better place?! ;)
-...

With these two pointing system, teams will be encouraged to
choose scientific approaches.

Have fun,
Mohammad
